HISTORY
The lands of Vallagon were once part of the Chenonceau estate in the heart of Touraine. The 14 Ha vineyard are operated by Philippe Potin and the castle was transformed into a 3 star hotel in 2005.The Touraine Region gives some of the best expression of Sauvignon Blanc, such as this wine, thanks to its Limestone Clay terroir.

WINE MAKING
Gentle pneumatic pressing, cold settling, fermentation at low temperature in order to extract the maximum aromas from the Sauvignon Blanc grape. The wine is then aged in stainless steel vats on fine lees and stirred regularly to gain body, flavour and more complex aromas The wine is bottled after a light filtration early Spring.

TASTING NOTES
Pale gold colour with green hues. The nose opens with citrus aromas and exotic fruit and honeysuckle notes. Lively and aromatic mouth with a good finish. Enjoy this crisp, unoaked white served chilled as a refreshing aperitif or with seafood, fishes or goat’s cheese.
