La Rose Pauillac was born in 1933 with the will of twenty growers coming together to make a great Pauillac. In the 1960s, almost all small farms in Pauillac had joined this fine working tool and the wines reputation has spread beyond the local markets. Harvesting at La Rose Pauillac is selected according to each vineyards micro climate and the individual varietal down to the individual plot. Over time and painstaking work, La Rose Pauillac has become a fine and austere estate of sixty hectares. The small plots are meticulously maintained, with all of them the glory of their owners in the very heart of their work. An average benchmark of 10,000 feet per hectare perpetuates the old adage that the less place the vines have, less they produce, thus making the flagship wine, La Rose Pauillac, all the more concentrated and rich.
