Philadelphia, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, August 4, 2007 – With an ever-growing portfolio of small producers, focusing mainly on the sparkling and dessert wine sectors, Palateur Imports is slowly but surely becoming a highly regarded player on the Pennsylvania wine scene. Adding to their already reputable lineup of luscious stickies imported and distributed from their home state, comes another world class player. Domaine Cazes is widely referred to among wine aficionados as the “top of the mountain” in southwest France for sweet natural wines made from the Muscat and Grenache grapes. After only a few months in business and a couple of years of building their portfolio, Palateur has already attracted the likes of Vetri, Le Bec Fin, The Fountain at The Four Seasons and The Striped Bass as important keystone clients. Says Mark Monaco, founder of Palateur: “…it’s a dream come true to be able to represent Domaine Cazes, such a force in the world of Vin Doux Naturel…it is a brand that will certainly add strength to what we do everyday and I look forward to getting it in front of our top clients.” The collaboration is a result of a mutual friendship between one of Palateur’s olive oil producers in Spain and Caze’s west coast importer, A French Paradox. Francois Belle, CEO of A French Paradox, said: “We are delighted to have the Cazes brand in Mr. Monaco’s trusted hands within the state of Pennsylvania and greatly look forward to a solid relationship with him and his team over the years”.
